In general, there are two types of compression garments available; medical and consumer grade. The difference? Medical grade products are available only through a prescription from your doctor and offer greater compression levels (measured in millimeters of mercury, or mmHg). On the other hand, consumer grade products generally offer less compression at unknown (and sometimes fluctuating) levels.
I've used this product and brand for since 2012. It's true that it's not breathable because of the type of material-not ideal for hot climate or those in the military sweating a lot. In-door worker use is probably ideal. I'm a nurse 12-hour shift. It works for me. The material got thicker so it feels more supported, firmer. And for me, there is a significant difference in wearing it and not. What it really does is correct/support my lower back/pelvis curvature and thereby maintaining a good posture and center of gravity and lower low back stress.

Prepare for your best run, game or practice yet with the COPPER FIT Sport Crew Socks. These socks use graduated compression technology to help reduce swelling and discomfort from prolonged sitting or standing. These socks are crafted with high-density activated copper that is woven into polyester yarns for total comfort and premium performance. Copper fibers deliver natural odor management so your feet feel fresh even when you’re working up a sweat. Crew cut height is perfect for wearing with sneakers, while soft fibers add comfort with every wear.
The only hitch? There’s little to no reliable scientific evidence that the copper/compression combo does what manufacturers are claiming. Which is why Tommie Copper and its founder Thomas Kallish agreed to pay $1.35 million to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that they deceptively advertised their copper-infused garments that are priced between $29.50 and $69.50. The proposed federal court order imposes an $86.8 million judgment, which will be partially suspended upon payment of $1.35 million by the defendants.

The area of the body that is geared towards helping is the lower back. So the question is, is the product going to fare well because the Copper products work so well, or is it going to gain attention simply because the Copper line is highly marketed?
If you are able to find anything that gives you some comfort from your chronic back discomfort aside from heavy medications it really is worth taking a look at. This Copper Fit Back Pro is a new product in the copper line so you are going to have to base your decision for giving it a try based on the past performance of the other products that use the copper technology.

After you put them on, these gloves deliver gentle compression to the hands, wrists, and fingers, which'll help relieve aches, pains or any other type of discomfort you may feel within those areas. You can adjust the level of compression by adjusting the tightness of the wrist strap on each glove. If you pull the strap tighter, the compression level will increase, while it'll decrease if you leave it looser. The Copper Fit Gloves have also been designed to help increase circulation, so if you have poor circulation for any reason, you may find them helpful in that way, too.
Relieve muscle stiffness, soreness and pain with Copper Fit elbow and knee sleeves. These gloves leave the top half of the finger (from around the knuckle joint) bare. Therefore, while you wear them, you'll have much more control over your fingers than you would if they were completely covered. That means you'll be able to do virtually any activity with your hands that you normally do while experiencing the benefits of wearing these gloves.
Copper Fit Socks first hit the market in late 2014, among a throng of other copper-infused products that flooded the market at that time. Copper infused clothing has been around for some time, and there are questions about whether or not copper actually imparts benefits or it is mainly hyped advertisement. In a comparison of Copper Fit Socks to a regular pair of high-quality cotton athletic socks, we saw no difference in comfort or performance. While such things as sweat and odor are highly subjective, we saw little improvement over regular socks. We did feel that Copper Fit Socks were comfortable and well-made.

In general, Copper Fit’s products seem to come with a middle-of-the-road overall rating of about 2.5 stars. Some customers claim they worked as advertised and provided relief, while the most common complaints appeared to reference failure to provide results (generally, ineffective levels of support) and poor quality (e.g. seams come apart quickly, zippers stop working, etc). Many also complained of less-than-stellar business practices, like ultra-high S&H charges and very long shipping times.
Compressing the site of an injury is the third step of the recommended treatment for injuries such as muscle strains and ligament sprains, known as RICE—Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. Compression works by limiting swelling while providing support to the injured area. Medical compression stockings have also been prescribed to help prevent leg swelling and blood clots in patients who’ve had surgery.

The Arthritis Foundation notes that copper jewelry doesn't ease arthritis, so copper fibers in gloves are unlikely to be effective. If there is no clinical evidence Copper Hands works, why did almost 60 percent of consumers give a four- or five-star rating? The answer might be the placebo effect. This means you may experience a beneficial health outcome that simply results from your belief a product, medication or procedure will help you. The placebo effect can be effective in providing relief from pain, but it is not due to the design of the product.
At the end of the day, you’ll probably need to actually try a product to see how it feels to you in practice. Just be sure to keep in mind all of the advice above, and don’t go into a potential purchase thinking you are buying the solution to all of your back pain problems. If you’d like to give the Advanced Back Pro a shot, keep in mind that you’ll have 30 days to return the product for a refund, should you decide it doesn’t live up to your expectations.
Copper Fit comes with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges. This means that if you decide to return your sleeves, you’ll immediately lose nearly $16 in S&H charges, in addition to whatever it will cost to ship them back to the manufacturer. In reality, you might end up losing more in S&H charges than you’ll receive as a refund, which is a tactic many ASOTV products use.
